The Treasurer of the Society, Prof Aisha Abdulkadir has been appointed as the new Head of Department (HOD) of the Soil Science Department, by the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Prof. Aisha Abdulkadir obtained both B. Agriculture and Msc Soil Science degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and her PhD from Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
Prof. Aisha Abdulkadiris employed by Ahmadu Bello University in 2002 and rose through the rank to become a Profecssor in Environmental Soil Pysics.
The new Head of Department, is engaged in research on soil/plant/water relations and its agro-ecological environments as well as the effect of agricultural crop protection practices on greenhouse gas emissions and related impact of climate-change on local/regional food and farming systems.
